“Mi Vida – A Story of Faith, Hope, Love” – Book Proceeds help Homeless Veterans

“MI VIDA (My Life) is based on my true story of growing up in difficult circumstances; joining the military to be a cook only to end up in the Paratroopers, Airborne Rangers and Green Berets;

obtaining success, losing it, and then finding out what really matters in life.”

Dr. Jose N. Harris obtained success and then lost it.

In 2004, Dr. Harris began suffering from Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), related to his military service in the undeclared wars in Central America during the 1980s, and ended-up homeless.

“Mi Vida (My Life) – It’s a story about loss, love, faith, hope and redemption. It is my story about my life.”

“In the movie, Forrest Gump, Sally Field says that ‘Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you’re gonna get.’ To me, MI VIDA is a Latino Forrest Gump story” -  This is the major difference between Forrest Gump and the Life of Dr. Jose N. Harris.

At around 56 A.D., the apostle Paul wrote a letter to the Christian congregation in Corinth about the importance of faith, hope and love.

In MI VIDA, Jose Harris takes readers along with him though his life’s journey, sharing stories about the people, places, successes and failures encountered along the way. On the road to peace and happiness, Harris works to strengthen his faith in God and his hope for the future, as he searches for love.

At the end of the book, you may find yourself asking the same question that Harris asks himself repeatedly throughout his life, ” Who Am I?” In reading MI VIDA you might discover the answer to that question, as well as find out what is today’s meaning and importance of the three attributes that the apostle Paul wrote about, almost 2000 years ago.

MI VIDA… It is a story of faith, hope and love.
